Job role requirements:

We are currently looking for an experienced Solar Surveyor to join our growing renewables team.
We are a Bristol-based renewable energy company, covering Bristol and the surrounding areas, delivering high-quality solar PV and battery storage solutions.

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in solar PV surveying, technical assessment, or a related renewable energy role preferred.

Your duties on site will include, but not be limited to:

  • Conducting on-site solar PV surveys for residential and commercial properties
  • Assessing roof structure, orientation, shading, and overall suitability for solar installation
  • Measuring roof dimensions and identifying optimal panel layout
  • Reviewing electrical systems and determining connection requirements
  • Preparing detailed survey reports and technical documentation
  • Liaising with installation teams to ensure accurate system design and smooth project delivery
  • Ensuring all proposed systems comply with MCS standards and current safety regulations
  • Providing professional advice to customers and answering technical queries

Candidate requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Solar Surveyor or in a similar renewable energy role
  • Strong knowledge of solar PV systems and installation processes
  • Good understanding of MCS guidelines and UK building regulations
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working at height (certification preferred)
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Must hold a valid driving licence
